End Game: A Dirty Money Novel (Dirty Money #4) by Lisa Renee Jones (Book #1 of 2018)

How deep can you love?
Passion and danger collide in the explosive finale to Emily and Shane's story.
After tragedy strikes, Shane hovers on the edge of being consumed by darkness. He will fight for the woman he loves. He will destroy his enemy. He will not back down. As shocking twists, dark secrets, and explosive betrayals within the Brandon family come to the light, Shane must fight harder than ever before.
Every thread weaves a dangerous web. Emily and Derek. Brandon Senior. Maggie and her affair. The leader of the dangerous cartel who's wedged itself inside the Brandon Empire. It all comes to a head in the shattering conclusion to the Dirty Money series.

My Review:

It's 4 out of 5 Stars for End Game, a contemporary romance novel that is full of action and suspense with many twist and turns that will be leaving your jaw dropped at points.

Chapters 1-9: Jones grabs your attention within the first chapter with action happening immediately.  It was a great setup to show us as the reader what we are going to expect in this novel.  I couldn't wait to see what was about to come next and where this was going to lead.

Jones needed to be clearer during these beginning chapters of who the characters were.  At the beginning it sounded like Shane was the surgeon, but then as I continued to read, I saw that wasn't the case.  And who was Jessica?  She came out of nowhere in the middle of a chapter that it almost made it sound like she was a sister of Shane.  As I found out quickly, she was not.  A little more clarification needed to be different there.

In these beginning chapters, I didn't find any character to stand out to be.  They all seemed to be the same, nothing striking and their actions drew me towards not liking who they really were.

I will be honest, since I won this book in a giveaway, I never read any of the others in the series so that could add to the confusion.

Chapters 10-19: In Chapter 13, Jones gives us a taste of what exactly the End Game really is....faking Emily's death.  Or is it?  That's what I liked most during these chapters of the book.  You think you know where everything is going to end up and then you're taken by surprise.  Jones continuously keeps you guessing how everything is going to end up.

There was multiple plots in this book, but Jones connected them in a way that it never got you bored or confused.  Each had it's own time and space in the book and though sometimes they overlapped, you knew where you were in the story.

One of my favorite parts during these chapters was when Part 2 came into play and we got to hear Emily's POV.  After hearing Shane's POV for most the novel, it was refreshing to see it from a different aspect.

It took some time, but during this I grew to like Emily and Shane the most in the novel.  They seemed to be the only level-headed ones and wanted to make an honest living.

Chapters 20-The End:  Every twist and turn that came until the very end kept me engaged reading this book.  Though the ending, it was clear that this could go on, even though Jones said this was the ending of the series.  And I really do hope she goes back and continues to see what else would happen in Emily and Shane's life together.  I personally would love to see a novel based on their lives while they are making it big in New York City.
